Health Disclaimer

Halor publishes educational content about health, healthspan, Medicine 3.0 and longevity. This is not medical advice. Reading our content, subscribing to our newsletter, or using the future Halor app does not establish a physician-patient relationship.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before changing your diet, exercise, supplements, or medications, and before acting on any biomarker, lab value, or risk assessment discussed in our content.
Never disregard professional medical advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read or used here.
The rest of this page expands on what that means in practice.
1. Educational purpose
Halor exists to make the published longevity literature legible to non-experts. Our newsletter, website, and forthcoming mobile app describe frameworks, evidence summaries, and decision-making structures drawn from peer-reviewed research and from the work of practitioners such as Peter Attia and Andrew Huberman.
We are an educational publisher. We are not a medical service, a telehealth provider, a diagnostic tool, or a clinic.
2. Not medical advice
Nothing on halor.app, in our newsletter, in our Substack publication, in our social media posts, or in the future Halor mobile app constitutes medical advice. Our content is not a substitute for individualized care from a qualified healthcare provider.
If you are dealing with a specific symptom, diagnosis, biomarker, or treatment question, that decision belongs between you and your physician — not between you and Halor.
3. No physician-patient relationship
Reading our content, subscribing to our newsletter, replying to one of our emails, commenting on our social posts, or using the Halor mobile app does not create a physician-patient or any other healthcare-provider relationship between you and Halor or between you and any of our team members.
We may occasionally feature contributions from clinicians or researchers as quoted experts. Those contributions are educational background only and do not constitute personalized advice from those individuals.
4. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider
Before acting on any framework, claim, or suggestion in our content, consult a qualified healthcare provider — typically your primary care physician, a specialist relevant to your situation, or a registered allied health professional. This is especially important in the following scenarios:
- Starting, changing, or stopping any medication or pharmacotherapy. We do not recommend, evaluate, or dose specific drugs.
- Significant dietary changes — particularly extreme caloric restriction, prolonged fasting, ketogenic protocols, or elimination diets.
- Significant exercise changes — especially if you are sedentary, have a chronic condition, are recovering from injury or surgery, or are over 65.
- Supplement protocols — interactions with prescription medications and chronic conditions are common and not always intuitive.
- Acting on biomarker results, lab values, or risk assessments — interpretation requires clinical context our content cannot provide.
- Decisions about screening, diagnostic testing, or preventive interventions.
If your physician disagrees with a framework or claim in our content, defer to your physician. They have your full clinical picture; we don't.
5. No personalized recommendations
Halor publishes frameworks. Personalization is your responsibility, conducted with your physician.
You will see language in our content like "the literature on X discusses…", "the framework for evaluating Y involves…", or "published targets for Z range from… to…". You will not see "your number is…", "you should take…", "if you have [symptom], you need [intervention]", or any equivalent directive.
This is intentional and structural. The PRD that governs our app explicitly states that Halor never personalizes — the user owns the synthesis with their physician.
6. Regulatory status
Halor is not any of the following in any jurisdiction:
- A registered medical device
- A diagnostic tool
- A telehealth or telemedicine provider
- A pharmacy or prescription service
- A registered health professional or healthcare practice
We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
7. Pharmacotherapy
Our content discusses pharmacotherapy at the framework level: how to think about prescriptions like a structured contract, how to define success criteria with your prescriber, how to ask about exit strategy. This is educational framing about the structure of working with a physician on medication.
We do not recommend specific drugs, evaluate which drug to take, suggest doses, or compare classes for individual users. Drug-specific decisions belong with your prescribing physician.
If you are reading our content and find yourself thinking "should I take X?", that question is for your physician, not for our content.
8. High-risk user categories
Take particular care, and prioritize physician guidance over our content, if you are in any of the following categories:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding — most longevity frameworks are not validated in pregnancy and may not apply.
- Children and adolescents — Halor is for adults aged 18+. Our content is not developed with pediatric populations in mind.
- Individuals with chronic disease — cardiovascular, metabolic, oncologic, autoimmune, kidney, liver, or psychiatric conditions warrant individualized medical management that no general framework can replace.
- Individuals on multiple medications — drug interactions and monitoring needs require professional oversight.
- Older adults with multiple comorbidities — frailty, polypharmacy, and reduced reserve change the risk calculus of any intervention.
If you are in any of these categories, treat our content as background reading for your conversations with your healthcare team, not as a self-management guide.
9. Source basis
Our content draws on the published literature. Within the Halor app and curriculum, claims are tagged to specific sources (e.g., Mandsager et al., JAMA Network Open, 2018). Our internal source registry is maintained but not yet public; we link to primary sources where possible in newsletter issues and posts.
If you find a claim in our content that you cannot locate in the published literature, contact disclaimer@halor.app and we will investigate. We do not knowingly publish unsourced claims.
10. Emergency disclaimer
For medical emergencies, do not rely on Halor content. Contact your local emergency services or attend the nearest emergency department immediately:
- Singapore: 995 (ambulance)
- Hong Kong: 999 (emergency)
- Australia: 000 (emergency)
- New Zealand: 111 (emergency)
Our content is reflective and long-form by design. It is not appropriate for time-sensitive clinical decisions.
11. Australia — TGA acknowledgment
Halor does not make therapeutic claims regulated by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Our content is educational and does not represent that any product, service, or framework treats, cures, prevents, reverses, or eliminates any disease or condition.
We avoid TGA-cautioned language (e.g., "improves," "reduces risk of," "boosts") in connection with specific health outcomes; where such language is unavoidable, we tie it to specifically named published evidence.
12. Singapore — HSA acknowledgment
Halor is not a registered health product or medical service under Singapore's Health Sciences Authority (HSA) framework. Our content sits in the wellness / educational category and is not a substitute for advice from a registered healthcare professional in Singapore.
13. Hong Kong — Department of Health acknowledgment
Halor is not a regulated healthcare service in Hong Kong. Our content is educational. Pharmaceutical and medical-device topics are discussed at the framework level only and do not constitute regulated medical advice.
14. New Zealand — Medsafe / Therapeutic Products acknowledgment
Halor is not a regulated therapeutic product or medical service under the New Zealand Therapeutic Products regime or under Medsafe oversight. Our content is educational and does not make therapeutic claims for any product or framework.
